So… I’ve never seen anything like this before.
I was given a rose on the night of one of my sorority’s formal events by the man I took as my date. Just as a preface: We’ve been through our ups and downs, but we always seem to pull through and grow & learn from everything we go through together.
Now, normally I’m not particularly fond of receiving flowers. It’s a lovely gesture, but I’ve always known that flowers die… and I’ve never been too fond of that. But this rose…. When I got it, I told my date: “I don’t usually like flowers because they die…” but I thanked him of course, because it was beautiful. I left it in a glass of water over spring break… I put it in that glass on the night of February 18. I came back tonight from being gone (March 3)… and not only is the rose not dead…. it has sprouted new leaves from the stem… and the dead leaves have fallen off.He told me to take it as a sign. That’s exactly what I’m doing.
Call me a romantic if you’d like to…. but this is wild.
& I just can’t ignore it.Quite frankly,If this isn’t a sign… I don’t know what is.
